Dear Parents or Guardians,

Welcome to Galena Elementary & Middle School! We at G.E.M.S. pride ourselves on challenging students to be their very best and helping them to understand that their path towards college and career begins in middle school. We also recognize that we are not alone and could not be successful without the support of the parents and guardians of all of our students.

The staff at Galena Elementary & Middle School will focus on engaging students in the learning process while emphasizing activities, participation, and good citizenship. We place a priority on the transition of our incoming Pre-School & Kindergarten students along with our outgoing eighth graders. Furthermore, by allowing students to utilize technology as a tool to create original and meaningful learning outcomes, we will challenge our learners to think outside the box while also developing solid foundational skills.

A successful school provides a quality education for all students in a safe and engaging learning environment and helps students to become successful citizens and lifelong learners. I encourage you to check TeacherEase weekly and to reach out if you have any questions throughout the school year.
