Galena High School

On Friday, April 22 three students from Galena High School traveled to Bloomington Normal to compete in the IHSA State Journalism Competition. Senior Sam Eaton competed in the Sports Writing Category. Jenna Smith '23 completed and brought home a medal in Headline Writing - 2nd Place and Review Writing, 5th place. Kennedy Trautsch '23 earned hardware in the Editorial Writing Category, coming home with 3rd place. The GHS Publications department is proud of these writers for qualifying for state and winning awards in their categories.
